About Valentine's Busk

It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air! 

Valentine's Busk is a public celebration of art, love, culture and people – a program bringing art from the street, out of the studio and off the suburban lounge to the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Art Gallery, State Library of Queensland, Queensland Museum, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Opera Queensland, and everywhere in between.

From 3:00pm, come and be entertained by a kaleidoscope of talent and show love for your favourite buskers by applauding them, throwing some coin in their hat and voting for them on the day... they could win one of the major prizes including a gig at Brisbane Festival and a full day session in The Edge Recording Studio. 

From 6pm, the buskers will come together in glorious cacophony on the Maiwar Green to attempt the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Largest Busk!

JUST ANNOUNCED! Pop rock luminaries The Basics will share their love as they headline a free all-ages concert to finish off the day. The quirky trio - whose own humble beginnings saw them busking on many a street corner - guarantees to raise the roof! The Basics will hit the stage at 8pm outside GOMA.

We're playing on Saturday in the Whale Mall, Southbank at 5:30pm for the Valentine's Day Busk.
